Welcome

We've been waiting for you! It's true, because we believe that every person who comes into the circle of this fellowship was sent by God Himself.  It's not by accident that we have the joy of meeting you.  So, above all else we want to express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth.  We're eager to know you, and we're excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.

October 12th - Annual Wiener Roast

Duke & Margaret Goodwin will be hosting LWF'S ANNUAL ALL-CHURCH WEINER ROAST at their home south of St. Joseph. Everyone is asked to bring their own lawn chairs, hotdogs, buns, and two large side dishes to share. Condiments, tableservice and drinks will be provided. Eating will begin around 5:00 PM, but everyone is welcome to come as early as 3:00 PM to enjoy the hiking trails and recreation. Don't miss this opportunity to get better acquainted with your extended family in this peaceful, rustic setting. You may bring guests, but please bring enough food to accomodate them. November 1st - Bread Baking Class

There is an art to making homemade bread the old-fashioned way and Shari Manea will be hosting a hands-on workshop to help us learn how. This class is open to anyone youth group age or older of either gender. All attendees will be making a batch of whole wheat bread which yields 2 loaves. Ingredients and bread pans will be provided and a list of items (bowls, spoons, etc.) that you'll need to bring is available at the Information Center when you sign up. You take home what you make. If you've ever tried to make homemade bread the way your grandma did and failed, then this workshop is for you. Spare your family the agony of defeat and learn from a pro. Shari can even give you some pointers on reducing the time it takes to make bread. The cost is only $5 per person. Please sign up at the Information Center and submit your fee by October 29th.

Our Pastors share the Living Word Vision...

"When we began the work of Living Word Fellowship, we believe we were called by God to '... raise up a church in this area that will minister to My down-and-outers...' This is the main thrust of what we believe God has called us to do.  Over the years, we have come to realize that there are many ways people can be 'down-and-out'  -  spiritually, financially, emotionally, etc.  Teaching people the truth of God's Word, encouraging growth and outreach, and recognizing the worth of every believer are some of the ways we are attempting to minister to God's hurting (and God's healthy) people."
