Larry Millis was born March 2, 1943, and raised in St. Joseph. After graduating from St. Joseph High School, he attended Illinois State University in Normal and Danville Jr. College during the years of 1961-1963. In August of 1963, Larry married Pamela Oakes, whom he had met at D.J.C.
The Millises settled in St. Joseph and Larry was engaged in a successful sales career. They attended a local denominational church and it was here Larry came to know Jesus. In addition to serving on various boards and committees, Larry trained and became a certified lay speaker, serving in that role for two years as he continued to pursue the things of God. Larry received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1976 and soon after, realized that the call of God was on his life.
In 1978, Larry, wife Pam, and their four children, temporarily relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma where Larry attended Rhema Bible Training Center. In 1980, after completing the two-year ministerial course, Larry returned with his family to his small hometown of St. Joseph.
Pastor Millis founded Living Word Fellowship in January of 1981 and has served as senior pastor since its inception. In addition to his ministerial duties for Living Word Fellowship, he also serves on the advisory boards of "Jesus is the Way" Prison Ministry, headquartered in Rantoul, Illinois, and "Living Alternatives," a crisis pregnancy center, located in Champaign, Illinois. As a member of the Rhema Ministerial Association, Larry has served as a district director for the State of Illinois and a regional director for Illinois and Indiana (Heartland Region).
Larry is ordained by Rhema Ministerial Association, headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and by Christian Teaching Center, headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Pam Millis grew up in Danville, Illinois, raised in a very traditional church and attended a parochial school operated by the church. She has always had an interest in working with children, especially teaching them the things of God. Even before she was born again, Pam was involved in the Christian Education Department of the denominational church where she and Larry were members.
During their stay in Tulsa, Pam realized that she, too, was destined to become a Rhema grad. In the fall of 1979, Pam entered the Training Center to become equipped for the work of the Kingdom. She graduated with a one-year certificate in May, 1980, and is ordained by Rhema Ministerial Association.
Pam has experience in several areas of ministry, but especially feels called to minister on "family matters" of which her expertise with children plays a large role. Raising two sets of twins has given her a unique insight into the child's mind and her heart to see the children rescued from Satan's hand becomes obvious as she shares her vision for Children's Ministry in the church and how it truly ministers to the entire family.
In addition to heading the Children's Ministry Department at Living Word, Pam also oversees our Praise & Worship Ministry, does pre-marital counseling, and avails herself to hold seminars and workshops in other churches on Children's Ministry and the Family.

Raised in Champaign, Illinois, Mike Mack grew up attending church with his parents. He enlisted in the Navy shortly after graduating from Champaign High School in 1965. After his discharge in 1969, he became employed by the Illinois Central Railroad where he worked until 1986. One night during those years, in 1976, Mike gave his life to Jesus while watching a Billy Graham crusade on the TV in his hotel room.
Mike became acquainted with the Millises in 1976 when he and his family began attending the same church as the Millises. When the Millises returned from Rhema to St. Joseph in 1980, Mike began attending the home Bible study they offered. He was baptized with the Holy Spirit in 1980 and became the first head usher for Living Word Fellowship when Larry and Pam began the church in January, 1981. In 1984, Mike knew he had the call of God on his life to preach the gospel. Remaining faithful to whatever he could do to further the gospel, he was ordained by Pastor Larry Millis in 1992, promoted to Associate Pastor, and served the church on a voluntary basis until staffed in a part-time position. In January of 1997, Pastor Mike became a full-time member of the Living Word Fellowship pastoral staff.
Since his salvation experience, Pastor Mike has studied the Word extensively and continues to do so. He has a tremendous gift of exhortation which he utilizes while visiting the ill and homebound. Pastor Mike's duties also include pre-marital counseling, overseeing the physical facility of the church, organizing care groups, hospital visiting groups, and men's events, and teaching various adult classes. He is not only a valuable asset to Living Word Fellowship, but to the Kingdom of God.
Mike met his wife, Sandy in 1971and they were married in 1973. They have two adult daughters.

Scott Millis was born June 20, 1964, while his parents, Larry and Pam Millis, resided in St. Joseph, spending his youngest years there, and leaving the area only when the family temporarily moved to Tulsa in 1978. Scott became born again in May of 1976, while attending a local denominational church with his parents, and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1978 while living in Tulsa.
Graduating from St. Joseph-Ogden High School in 1982, he attended Parkland College immediately afterwards and has also attended the University of Illinois and Indiana University. While serving in the Illinois National Guard from 1983 - 1989, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. by the U of I Army ROTC. A deeper yearning for the things of God and a desire to be fully equipped to serve Him drew Scott to Rhema Bible Training Center where he successfully completed the two-year Ministerial Training Course, receiving a diploma in 1991.
Scott returned to St. Joseph for a short period before he relocated to Autaugaville, Alabama, and became the resident director of Canaan Land Ministries in 1993. After serving in that position for 1½ years, Scott moved to Indiana, where he met his future wife, Beth Anne Rainey, of Bedford, Indiana. They were married September 28, 1996, and now reside in St. Joseph.
Throughout the years, Scott has always been faithful to attend Living Word Fellowship while living in the area and volunteer where needed, mostly as a youth leader. Scott was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel on August 9, 1998, by his father, Senior Pastor Larry Millis, and joined the pastoral staff as full-time Youth Pastor on September 1, 1998.  He was then officially ordained by Rev. Kenneth Hagen in June of 2001.
Scott & Beth have a son, Riley Scott Millis, who was born in September of 2003 and a daughter, Rainey Elizabeth Millis, who was born in March of 2005.
